Can I get a same-day appointment?
Yes. Same-day appointments are available in most cases across our Delaware service area. Book online or call us to check current availability. For urgent requests, calling us directly is fastest.
How far in advance should I book?
For individual appointments, booking a few hours to a day in advance is usually sufficient for same-day or next-day availability. For group events, we recommend at least 48 to 72 hours notice so we can staff appropriately.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. You can book an appointment for another person. The person receiving treatment must complete their own health intake form and will receive individual NP approval before their IV begins.
What is the cancellation policy?
Comfort IV does not charge a cancellation fee. We just ask that you give us at least one hour of notice so we can adjust our provider schedule. Contact us as early as you can and we will work with you to find a better time.

The Treatment
How long does a treatment take?
Most Comfort IV packages take 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish. NAD+ sessions run longer at 60 to 120 minutes due to the slower infusion rate required.
Does getting an IV hurt?
You will feel a small pinch when the needle is placed, which lasts about a second. The infusion itself is not painful. Most clients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is.
Can I use my phone during my infusion?
Yes. You can use your phone, watch something, read, or just relax during your infusion. You have one free hand throughout the session.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Drink water before your appointment, have a light snack within a few hours, and wear clothing with easy sleeve access. Complete your health intake form before your provider arrives.
Is there any downtime after my infusion?
No. You can return to normal activities immediately after your infusion. The only exception is the Headache and Migraine IV which contains Benadryl and causes sedation. Plan to stay home and rest after receiving that package.
Safety and Clinical Standards
Who administers Comfort IV treatments?
Every Comfort IV treatment is administered by a licensed medical professional holding a current, active license in Delaware. A Nurse Practitioner reviews and approves every treatment in real time before it begins.
Is a doctor or NP involved in my treatment?
Yes. A licensed Nurse Practitioner reviews your health intake and treatment plan and gives real-time approval before every Comfort IV treatment begins. This happens at every appointment.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes, when administered by licensed professionals with real-time clinical oversight. See our Is IV Therapy Safe page for a full discussion of safety standards and who should consult their physician before booking.
What if I have a reaction during my infusion?
Your provider monitors you throughout and is trained to respond to adverse reactions. The infusion can be slowed or stopped immediately. Your provider can contact your NP in real time if needed. If emergency care is required, your provider will direct you to call 911.
Do I need a prescription to book?
No. You do not need a prescription to book a Comfort IV appointment. Your Nurse Practitioner reviews your health intake and approves your treatment plan as part of the standard appointment process.
Eligibility
Who can get IV therapy at Comfort IV?
Most healthy adults are eligible for Comfort IV services after completing the health intake and receiving NP approval. See our Eligibility page for a full breakdown of age requirements and conditions that require physician consultation before booking.
Can I get IV therapy if I am pregnant?
Always consult your OB or midwife before any IV therapy during pregnancy. Comfort IV requires documented physician clearance before treating pregnant clients. Your NP will also review your pregnancy status before approving any treatment.
Can I get IV therapy if I take prescription medications?
Many clients who take prescription medications receive IV therapy safely. Always disclose all medications on your health intake form. Your NP reviews all medications during the real-time approval process.
Is there an age minimum?
Comfort IV treats children ages 2 and older. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for the entire appointment, and every treatment includes standard health screening and real-time Nurse Practitioner approval.
