Anti-Pain Add-In |
Non-Opioid Relief Delivered Intravenously
Our anti-pain add-in is a non-opioid anti-inflammatory medication used in clinical settings for pain relief. It is included in two Comfort IV packages: the Hangover IV and the Headache and Migraine IV. All use of this medication is reviewed and approved by a licensed Nurse Practitioner before every treatment.
What Our Anti-Pain Medication Does in the Body
This medication works by blocking the body's production of the compounds that create inflammatory pain signals. Because it relieves pain by reducing inflammation rather than working through opioid pathways, it is a preferred option in clinical settings where effective pain relief is needed without the risks associated with opioid medications.
When delivered intravenously, the medication reaches the bloodstream immediately and begins working faster than oral pain medications that must pass through the digestive system before absorption. This is particularly valuable during a hangover or migraine when taking oral medications can be difficult due to nausea or vomiting.
Why Deliver This Through an IV
IV Toradol delivers the medication directly to the bloodstream without requiring digestion. This means faster onset of action than oral NSAIDs and reliable delivery even when nausea makes oral medications impractical. The IV route also allows for dosing that is reviewed by our Nurse Practitioner and tailored to your clinical situation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Toradol safe?
Toradol is a widely used medication in clinical and emergency medicine settings. Like all NSAIDs, it is contraindicated in certain situations including kidney disease, bleeding disorders, certain cardiac conditions, and with some medications. Your Nurse Practitioner reviews your health history and medications before approving any package that includes Toradol.
Is Toradol an opioid?
No. Toradol (Ketorolac) is a non-opioid NSAID. It works through an anti-inflammatory mechanism, not through opioid pathways. It does not carry the dependency or respiratory risks associated with opioid pain medications.
How quickly does Toradol work when given IV?
Intravenous Toradol typically begins providing pain relief within 15 to 30 minutes of administration. Effects generally last 4 to 6 hours.
Can I use Toradol if I take other NSAIDs?
This is something your Nurse Practitioner will review during the real-time approval process. Taking multiple NSAIDs together increases the risk of gastrointestinal and kidney side effects. Disclose all medications at booking and at your appointment.
Do I need a prescription for Toradol?
Toradol is a prescription medication. At Comfort IV, all medications including Toradol are prescribed and overseen by our licensed Nurse Practitioners as part of the real-time treatment approval process before every session.
